Chun Chun's Karate Journey
During the pandemic, Green Feet 18 volunteers delivering supplies door to door met Chun Chun's family and learned that he had always wanted to learn karate.
After joining the full sponsorship programme, he took a trial class at Lau's Karate in 2023 and began training in January 2024.
The programme fully funds his training, not just a few classes but ongoing support. Chun Chun also hopes to represent Hong Kong at the Olympics one day.
In September 2026, Chun Chun reached the podium at the Hong Kong Karatedo Youth Games (organised by the Karate Federation of Hong Kong, China), taking 3rd place in Beginner Kata, Boys 12.
Lau's Karate thanks Green Feet 18 and all its sponsors for their continued support, and will keep walking this long road with Chun Chun.
